Poetry
written in Fall 2005
Come,
peel me like an onion;
remove my layers,
knead my soft skin
like a drum
play me hard
until it's fun
I'll make you cry,
but I'll stay dry.
Try to hold me
but a shadow
couldn't ever satisfy
I'll make you cry,
but I'll stay dry.
See me dance
in busy corners
as the bass busies my hips,
watch the sweat
drip down my lips,
and I'll lick the salt away.
I'll kiss you
if you will it
but I've only come to play
I'll make you cry
but I'll stay dry.
